The grapes are sourced from our winemaker’s family vineyard in the Oak Knoll District of Napa and hand-picked from five separate lots over the course of three days, then destemmed and sorted. Fermentation lasted 10 days, then the wine was aged in 1/3 new French oak barrels for 14 months
The wine opens with subtle, but dynamic, aromas of bright red berries, cinnamon, cola, and vanilla. It is a bit darker on the palate than on the nose, with flavors of dark cherries, raspberries, and a touch of earthiness. The tannins are soft and velvety, complemented with a vibrant beam of acidity. This wine is wonderfully structured and culminates in an elegant finish. Drink now through 2026. Perfect with grilled salmon or roasted turkey.
