Holly’s Block, named after Goosecross owner Christi’s grandmother, is perhaps the nearest and dearest to the heart of the winery. Located just off the patio, the quarter acre of vines is lovingly tended to by the entire team, with harvest taking as many passes as necessary to pick each vine at its optimal ripeness. The three best barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon from Block D, ‘Holly’s Block, were selected to be blended into this wonderful offering.
The glass exudes elegance and sophistication from the start with aromas of ripe black cherries, ripe plum, dried figs, roasted coffee, cigar box, and cocoa nibs. The wine immediately hits the palate with intense black currants, juicy blackberries, sultry vanilla, toasted oak, spice, new leather, and black tea.
