2022 Hook and Ladder "The Tillerman" Red Blend

The Tillerman is named for Cecil DeLoach's role on the San Francisco fire truck — the firefighter who steers the back of the hook & ladder. It's also the anytime bottle the whole portfolio is built around. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese from the Los Amigos Ranch in Chalk Hill, aged 18 months in European and American oak. Dark maroon with cinnamon, spicy cherry, and anise on the nose; ripe fig and blackberry on the palate finishing with coffee and dark cocoa. Bold, balanced, and built for every occasion.
