2020 Pinot Hill East

Harvested a week later than the West side, this is a perfect example of the effect of vineyard aspect. All elements of the Pinot Hill East are in perfect lockstep, first evoking notes of driftwood and crushed roses followed by small, wild, coastal berries grown in chilly sunlight, containing more skin than flesh. The palate greets you with layered components of savory herbs and saline notes followed by cranberry, and citrus peel.  This will age slowly and gracefully as the non-fruited notes continue to evolve and weave even more deeply into the wine.
