The the State Lane Merlot is a benchmark wine from Goosecross Cellars, and is sourced from in the heart of Napa Valley. This special vineyard produces some of their most sought-after wines. It sit on a famed alluvial fan which is ideally suited for growing vines on the valley floor due to the free-draining soils. The soils and micro-climate provide balanced vine growth, from which high-quality fruit stems. There are two blocks of Merlot planted on State Lane, each with a defined and unique characteristic allowing wines to be crafted with balance, finesse, depth and intrigue.
